How does SMD work?

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Tow operators obtain a Vehicle Reports (VR) from their state’s motor vehicle licensing department.
Tow operators scan and send VRs to SMD.
SMD completes an individual search for each VR and sends a completed SCRA certificates or declaration for each vehicle back to you before the date of your auction sale.
